About Chinese and Japanese calligraphy
書, 書道 or 書法, shufa, shodo, sho, shodō, shodou:
Pictures of Chinese, Japanese or other (Vietnamese, Korean etc.) brush-based calligraphy, calligraphy equipment, calligraphers at work, etc.
OK for the pool: brush-style signs or carvings, even if not written directly with a brush. Pictures where the calligraphy is part of the background, e.g. portrait shots.
Not OK for the pool: printed type, pen-written characters.
Hard to read calligraphy: If you want to find out the characters in the calligraphy, please post to the discussions.
Translations: If you would like a translation of something, please try flickr.com/groups/translate/.
