19 Dec 11 - I sometimes wonder if some of the people submitting to this group actually look at the style of photograph curated here, or simply submit their stuff blindly. There is a governing idea. It might be a bit loose on occasion, but nevertheless it exists. Here are its main characteristics:

*human spaces
*geometry
*color, light, shadow interplay
*beauty of all the above
*a compositional ...something, I don't know, surprise -- put it all together...

I hope, if you submit here, you also look.

Photographic art related to the observation & study of human beings in Brooklyn and beyond.

Note: "the study of human beings" need not entail that the work depict human beings, but if your work is peopleless (as almost all of mine is for instance), there ought to be some compelling sign of humankind at work upon the environment depicted by the photograph.
