About Bronze Plaques

This group is for posting pictures of bronze or brass plaques in public places anywhere in the world. This is the only group on flickr dedicated specifically and wholly to photos of bronze plaques.

Oh, there are groups for plaques in general. And there's a group for blue plaques. But this is the only group for bronze ones. And as everyone knows, bronze or brass plaques are the best kind. That makes this a highly desirable and very exclusive club. And membership has it's privileges.

There are a lot of bronze plaques around NYC. Maybe that's why TomBrooklyn became interested in them and started this group. Any photo with a bronze plaque in it is eligible. Images can be artistic or realistic. It can sometimes be tricky to photograph them so they're readable. I'm not yet sure what kind of lighting works best to that end.

Pictures may be posted in the Group Pool, or in an Individual Discussion Thread if you would like to tell anything about the plaque or what the plaque is about. Please post a separate thread for each plaque, unless the plaques are related.
