About BBC News Brits Abroad

Hi. I'm Chris, a journalist with BBC News Interactive and I'd like to welcome you to our Brits Abroad group.

It's part of a series of news stories and features focusing on Britons living around the world - who they are, how many there are, where they are, and more.

This is where you can share your pictures that sum up what being a Brit abroad means to you. Feel free to use your imagination, or send us a picture you've already taken that has special meaning. The quirky and unusual would be better than standard holiday snaps or family portraits. Please let your British friends know about the group as the more people who take part, the more we will be able to learn about what it is to be British away from Britain.

Please make sure the pictures have been taken by you, your family or friends. Tell us where the picture was taken and any other relevant information.

The best will be showcased on the BBC News website: www.bbc.co.uk/inpictures

In joining this group and sharing your photos here, you are giving us permission to re-publish those photos on bbc.co.uk. We will attribute and link back to your Flickr! stream and the copyright will remain with you.

The group is being administered by myself plus my colleagues Dominic and Sally - also both journalists - and Phil, who's our picture editor.

Thanks in advance for your contribution.

Chris
