About Ghosts in British Churches
Ghosts - and they have to be in churches in Britain. Why Britain? Because everyone knows that only Britain has ghosts worth talking about (or photographing, for that matter).
Rules:
No photoshopped ghosts.
No fake ghosts (so no taking multiple exposures or other tricks such as long shutter times to blur people walking around).
No sticking a sheet over your head and saying BOO to the camera.
They have to be in a church.
They have to be real (see above rules!).
They have to show evidence of being a ghost in the photo (so no taking a picture of uncle George and explaining he is a "ghost"). Transparency is usually a good sign.
NO ORBS - they are out of focus dust. Use any non-P&S camera (i.e.: a real camera) and you won't get them. ok?
Provide an explanation with your picture.
Now, I don't expect anyone to ever post a picture on this group because, well, see the rules! HOWEVER someone may one day actually capture one on film and post it here. That would be worth waiting for! I had the chance to, but because I have a policy of not photographing church interiors including people, I missed my big chance. But here is your big chance!
FAQ
Q: If no-one can do this (see the rules!), why have this group?
A: In short: why not? I'm bored. and: flickr surrealism - a picture group with no pictures (until we get a real ghost picture - heh). I also think all of my groups are far too serious.
Please feel free to discuss ghosts in churches, even if you have no picture.
Small print: members of this group reserve the right to poke fun at any ghost pictures submitted. Your chances of photographing a ghost in a church may go up or down over the period. No claims are made for the suitability of this group for any purpose whatsoever. We (that is me... or I) deserve, err, reserve the right to remove any pictures which are not of a real ghost in a real church in real Britain... so don't try pulling a fast one. Ok?
