About Bristol
A group for the city of Bristol in the west of England.
The focus of the group is on original photography with a Bristolian flavour.
Please post photos of subjects in Bristol and its immediate surroundings which are likely to be of local interest or relevance to Bristol Flickrrs. Just being taken in Bristol isn't enough; pictures of flowers, clouds, models, cats or other random stuff that could have been taken anywhere are not really what the group's about. Pictures taken elsewhere might be OK if they're of particular relevance to Bristol. Anything else may be removed at the discretion of the admins... but might find a happy home in Not Bristol.
Particularly welcome would be pictures smelling of wet rope and manacles, cigarettes and aeroplane oil, spray paint and plasticine, axle grease and burger vans, daisies and pissoirs.
Videos and illustrations are not banned but please keep the focus on photography.
There is a posting limit of five images per day to help keep the group pool interesting and varied. If you post more than one picture a day to the pool, please make sure that the pictures are substantially different to each other and not just minor variations on essentially the same picture. And please follow Flickr's rules regarding items for sale or the promotion of commercial services: a general link on your profile page is OK, but links in image descriptions, or URLs in watermarks, are a no-no and can lead to account deletion (see this post in the Help forum).
