We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. — Oscar Wilde
& of course people in here are trying to photograph what we see from our particular gutter :)
Please read everything here before posting photos or starting discussions & revisit it regularly
Group for discussion & organisation of Flickr meetups in Brisbane. You don't have to live in Brisbane to join but unless you plan on coming to a meetup there's probably not much point.
Members might also be interested in joining the Brisbanites group.
Quick Rules for Posting ...
Lets keep the photos in this pool relevant. Please note that only photos taken whilst at a Brisbane meetup gathering are allowed here :) In the case of some pre-meeting activities photos leading up to the meetup are also allowed. Also try not to post more than 5 photos at a time so that there's always photos from more than one person on the group front page (Admins could be nasty & set posting limits but we'd rather not).
Other Brissie photos are welcome in Brisbanites which members of this group are heartily encouraged to join..
Discussion Threads ...
Please use the following prefixes on discussion thread titles where appliciable ... [Mon YY] Prefixing the title with the month & year for a monthly meetup being discussed (eg. "[Oct 06] Meetup ideas please"). [PROP] A proposal for some event. [DISC] Free ranging discussion of photo outing ideas. [ANN] Annoucments of some pre-determined event. [INV] Invitations to some pre-determined event. [OT] Threads that are somewhat off-topic to the Brisbane Meetup group (but of some interest anyway).
Badges are Good ...
Try to have badges for meetups ...
If nothing else they help us pick each other out as flickrites.
This one was printed & laminated at a commercial service & signed just before laminating. Have it printed at 8cm x 6cm, if you're savvy with PhotoShop or similar you could resize the image for printing to that size first.
Pockets, lanyards, clips etc. can be bought at Officeworks (link is to a search result) & probably other office suppliers. Luckily the service where I had mine printed gave me a pocket & lanyard they had from a function one of the staff had attended.
