About Breaking the Spell
This Group exists so that a small group of us who are interested in reading Daniel Dennett's book "Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon" can learn together. We will also be reading the Psalms at the same time.
You can hear a lecture given on the 14th March 2006 at The University of Edinburgh containing the key arguments in the book here.
The aim is to bring as many intellectual and artistic resources to bear on thinking about an issue (whether religion should be studied as a natural phenomenon or not) as we can muster.
Inevitably there will be lots of words (this is Philosophy of Religion) but Flickr offers us the opportunity to use images, in which you are all so fluent.
