About Brazos County Website Photos

We are collecting photographs to be used on the *NEW* Brazos County Website, which is set to launch mid-2012. These photographs, representing Brazos County, will be used in the banner, background, and slideshows on the new website.

They can represent anything from nature scenes, historic landmarks, events or festivals, business or educational landmarks, and images relating to tourism.

To upload photographs, join Flickr (it's free!).

These must be original photographs, and must abide by the following rules:

1. You grant Brazos County irrevocable permission to use your photographs in a royalty-free, non-exclusive basis on the Brazos County Website.

2. Brazos County agrees not to sell these photographs under any circumstances and not to distribute them outside the Website.

3. You acknowledge that under no circumstances can you demand money from Brazos County or those using the photographs.

4. You also acknowledge that the photographs may be used for promotional purposes for Brazos County.

5. The photo cannot infringe on any copyright, property right, trademark or any other applicable right.

6. You are solely responsible for the photos.

7. You cannot use photos containing copyrighted material unless you have a signed property release from the owner of the copyrighted material.

8. You warrant that you own all proprietary rights regarding the photo, and as for photos depicting identifiable persons that you obtain a valid, legal and signed Model release from those parties.
- Anyone or anything that is the subject of a photograph is considered to be a model.
- We require a signed model release with each photo that has identifiable people in it.

9. You acknowledge that even though Brazos County does our best to prevent it from happening, Brazos County cannot be held responsible for the misuse or abuse of any photo which is used on its website.

Format requirements:

File format: jpg
Dimensions: 600 x 800 pixels
Resolution: 72dpi

The release forms (see Rules 7 and 8) must be uploaded with your photo(s) if people or copyrighted property are in any of your photos.
