About BP Oil Spill Street Art Propaganda Campaign
Make stickers, posters, T-shirt designs, paste-ups... whatever you can think of to help us here in the Florida panhandle feel like someone cares and is really paying attention to this overwhelming catastrophe!!!
That crude oil is doing more damge than even my imagination at it best couldn't dream up!
The crude has made it's way up into our rivers so... the creeks, springs, streams, water reserviors follow.
In the rural area I live in and that pretty much speaks for most of the Panhandle, we depend on deep-wells that pump water to our homes from said water sources for our running water in our homes for cooking, drinking, showering, etc. The crude has gotten into our water pump where it softened the rings and bearings and our pump has to be replaced... $3,000...Minimum. Now we could get help from the gov...but until they can find a way to clean this skanky, stinky shit up...there's no point!!!!
We are considered collateral damage....
When all you gifted artists began making art for the Obama Campaign, and anti-Bush art... Obama was elected by a landslide!!!!
We need your talents, Obama, needs your talents to help get the support he needs to get this crap cleaned up! God damit! He still has many a George W. messes to clean up.
The purpose of the art I'm asking you to make is to donate to all the southern street artists...helll, artists everywhere!!! To get up all over this country...the world if necessary. No holds barred! Find photos of dead ducks and fish and water ever else to make stencils of to incorporate into your art...Don't sugar coat the shit!!!
There's nothing light-hearted or funny about the fact that cate and I have to go to the nearest truck-stop and shell out $10 EACH for a god damned shower. And rationing water to our animals in this tropical, blazing heat!
Let these bastards have it!
Ask for a boycott of BP Oil on your art/slaps/ graffiti/paste-ups, etc.
