24 Jan 08 - OK, so the blog (www.bofuk.blogspot.com) has finally lurched into action and this group will, over time, support the blog.

I want to confirm that to some the blog will start with a back-to-basics approach to photography and post processing. To some of you this might seem frustrating but, in the spirit of sharing, stick around and offer constructive criticism and advice on how to improve.

Further, let people know this group and the blog exists and share the knowledge.

About Box of Frogs

The primary function of this group is in conjunction with our blog. Our blog contains information relating to cameras -

1. their form and functions
2. how to handle a camera
3. understanding how to capture the moment with a camera
4. critique

We'll also be discussing processing images once they have been captured. My favorite is with...

The rules are essentially - participate, be constructive not destructive, be willing to learn, be willing to share ideas, be willing to share your successful images, share you disasters.

It's nonsense imho when people say there's no right of wrong but sometimes there is. So face up to it, tell us what you were looking for and why for you 'it went wrong' and let's see if by sharing, we can make that wrong a right in future.

So, when posting an image use the tag

Box of Frogs

and describe your image in terms of set up, camera settings etc rather than 'here's an egg on a place mat!?!?
