I'd like to encourage people to post small images of Boston weather (good or bad) as it changes so much!

This is what I wish I saw instead of a black cloud of rain out my window (from the John Hancock Tower on the Prudential side) --

NOTE: I am 75% of the way up in the Hancock Tower and our building is swaying back & forth in this huge Thunderstorm! I hope everyone stays safe because this is a strong storm!

The one day in the last 2 weeks that I didn't bring my rain jacket with me "just in case". Oof.

As a followup, I'm across the street in the old hancock tower and all our windows just effectively got blacked out.

I have new england weather shot that I took a couple of years ago on Great East Lake on the Maine/NH border. Tonight I effectively reached the super-saturation point as I could not get any wetter than I was. The hail didn't feel good either.

Lynn isn't quite Boston, but this storm is actually approaching from the south, so it was probably over Boston at this point!

@ Lee; Jeff & Jill -- GREAT shots!! I love how different all of them are....

Today we had a very similar storm wash over, though not as intense, and I actually had my camera with me!
Either way you look at it, it's still rainy
This is my attempt at a diptych of the old John Hancock Building giving me the weather alert -- taken from up here in the Hancock Tower...

Seems like there is no shortage of days with thunderstorms in Boston lately. If I can weather-proof my gear, I'd try to photograph some lightning strikes. Here's one of 7/1/08 evening storm. Clouds were low and angry, but the fireworks was still 40 min. westward near Waltham. I had my gear in the car, and stopped to take a few shots over Chandler Pond, near Boston College.
I used the Sigma 10-20 to capture as much sky as possible.
Hand-held shot. Poor little duckies.

All flights canceled due to weather!
