About A Town Called Boron
Jump in your El Camino and join us for the culture warp that is Boron.
Boron was born in the 1920s and 30s. It had its heyday in the 50s and 60s. Decline started in the 70s when the freeway came and Twenty Mule Team Road was no longer the main highway.
Current residents are doing their damndest to keep the town from drying up and blowing away like the proverbial tumbleweed.
Share your images of this little bit of Oklahoma, that ended up way, way out west.
This is a group for pictures taken in Boron, California and some of the other communities around it. The other communities and areas are North Edwards, Aerial Acres, Old Boron Prison, Desert Lake and Kramer Junction (AKA Four Corners).
We grew up in Boron and we're always fascinated by the photos of our hometown that show up on Flickr.
