About Born Free, Living Free
There is a huge difference between taking a photo of an animal in the wild and one of an
animal in a controlled environment. The challenges of getting good shots of truly wild
animals are often overlooked by the less informed.
No animals that are fed by humans, please. No pets, hand-reared animals, or zoo animals.
This group will be a space to share your true wildlife photography to be viewed by people
who will recognize the effort it entails.

Group Pool Rules
1. This is a public group and everyone is welcome to join – no invitation required.
2. To avoid photo flooding we are limiting the number of photos you are allowed to post to 5 per day.
3. Only photos of truly wild animals will be allowed. No pets, hand reared animals, zoo animals or animals that are fed by humans. We want animals that rely on their own instinct and effort to provide for themselves.
4. Only photos of animals in their natural habitat. Artic bears photographed in Africa will for example not be allowed.
5. We want photos of wildlife that are able to roam freely and are found in wilderness areas, which will include national parks and wildlife reserves. This will exclude safari parks, game farms, birds and wildlife in your garden and animals in enclosures or fenced-off camps.
6. Please specify where your photo was taken, whether in the title, description or in the tags.
Discussions on wilderness areas
We would like to extend the function of this group by providing information to the eco-tourists among us on the different wilderness areas found around the world. If you have reliable information to share about a certain wilderness area, please tell us more by creating a discussion topic for the specific area.
