"For a town with such a fantastic collection of historic photographs, a town located in such beautiful countryside, a town filled with so many photogenic corners, it is extraordinary that there was no group established to focus on photography.

There is still time to consider the mission statement for the group but it has already been agreed what it will not be - it will not be a group for camera nerds, colour technocrats and competition freaks! We wish to involve all those who like to take pictures for pleasure, whether they have the latest in digital super-camera or are still using their trusty old film camera, whether they understand and use the myriad of adjustments on their camera or simply rely upon the camera automation to take a nice picture."
