Have had this lens for a while. Don't know about crop cameras but on full frame it's been wonderful.

The 135/2L is a fantastic lens; one of the top EF lenses Canon produces.
Here are some shots taken with it:

Gosh, I really want this lens. I think it's magic. But I think I have to go for the 70-200 for the versatility.

Is this lens better on the 5d or 40D. Sorry for highjacking this thread.

I now have a 40D - I can't comment on what it looks like on the 5D.... but on this camera, it's gorgeous:

Long, though...

@SocietyWorks, I would say not so much better or worse just a different working focal length. As Bold Puppy has mentioned...'long'. 135mm on the 5D and 216mm on the 40D. Regardless of what you put this on, the lens is an amazing piece of glass!

...might call me crazy, but I traded in (with $ back, too!) a very used 16-35L (version one) after only a couple of days for a used copy of this 135L. This was the only photo I took with it right outside the camera shop... when my 20d battery took a nap...

Fully blurred, creamy bokeh:

Great 'crop' circles...

... and leaves suspended make fun subjects for bokeh backgrounds:

Bokeh with 400D - 1.6x crop sensor

Bokeh with 5DmkII - full frame sensor

Both best viewed large to appreciate the degree of blurring :o)

that's all i can find in my gallery right now, especially since my pro account ran out.
+ i've been rockin' the 50mm f/1.4 as of late (as in the past 6 or 8 or 10 months).
