Contest Rules

Eligibility
Contest is open to photographers of all. City, County and Visitors are
welcome and encouraged to enter.
Subject Categories & Cash Prizes
• Best Overall- $300
• Faces of Boerne- $150- Images including people & children
• Landscape, Structures & Wildlife- $150- Images taken in Boerne
Parks without People
• Community Events- $150- Images taken at events in Boerne
Parks
• Athletic Events- $150- Images taken at athletic events in Boerne
Parks
Submission Requirements
• There is no cost to enter.
• Entrants may enter all categories and may submit up to 3
photographs per category.
• Age determined at the time the photo was taken by a minor
under the age of 18, permission to enter from a parent or legal
guardian is required.
• Photos that include people or children must have a Photo
Release signed for each person represented in the image. Photo
Releases can be picked up from Boerne Parks & Recreation.
• Photos must be taken in the following parks or at City of
Boerne sponsored events : Boerne City Lake Park, Northrup
Athletic Park, Boerne City Park(excluding Cibolo Nature Center
& Ag Center), Boerne City Pool, Main Plaza, Veterans Plaza,
Optimist Park, Roeder Park, River Road Park, Old No. 9
Greenway Trail.
• Photos must not be previously published, must be suitable for
publishing by the City of Boerne.

Entry Requirements
• Photo file name must include the entrant’s last name and
category, ie:SmithFacesofBoerne.jpg
• Digital files may be 9”X7.25 @ 300 dpi or 2700 pixels X 2175 Pixels
@ 72 dpi. If you are unsure of settings, please set your camera to
the highest quality available. Preferred digital format is jpg or
jpeg.
Deadlines
All entries must be received by Boerne Parks & Recreation no later than
December 31, 2009!
Prizes and Recognition
Photographers of winning photos will receive:
• Photos will be posted & photographers will be recognized on the
Parks & Recreation Website
• Photos may be featured in the Parks & Recreation Publication
• Cash Prizes will be given as stated previously. Best
Overall winner will be selected from all entries entered
How to Enter
Entry forms are available at the Boerne Parks & Recreation Administration
Office, 1017 Adler Rd, Boerne; and online at www.ci.boerne.tx.us/parks
in the Document Library.
• Mail entry form along with labeled CD to Boerne Parks &
Recreation, PO Box 1677, Boerne, TX 78006
• E-mail entry & scanned form to tbellos@ci.boerne.tx.us or fax
form to 830-331-9652
• Drop off entry form and labeled CD to the Parks & Recreation
Administration Office; 1017 Adler Rd, Boerne
