About Gorillas- a group dedicated to Bobby

Bongo Jnr. or 'Bobby' was the silverback gorilla at ZSL London Zoo. He was wildborn but taken from the wild to be used in a circus and didn't see another gorilla until he was eight, he was rescued by Rome Zoo and has also lived at Bristol Zoo.
Sadly, on 5th December 2008, Bobby was found to have passed away during the night. He leaves behind his three companions Zaire, Effie and Mjukuu.
Bobby was little for a silverback but he had a beautiful personality and it showed in his kind face. May you rest in peace Bobby.

This group is for photos of Bobby and any other gorillas, they are beautiful animals with so many threats to their survival. Hopefully, seeing wonderful photos of these creatures will inspire people to want to help gorillas so maybe one day none will have to suffer as Bobby did.
