About Blythe in Skipper Fashion
Featured Model for July 2009
This amazing blond Kenner belongs to Blythedrops. She is dressed in a vintage Skipper outfit called Ship Ahoy. I think it's the perfect monthly picture for July, don't you think? What a way to celebrate Independence Day in Red, White & Blue!

Skipper® doll was ready to embark on the cruise around the world that she and Barbie® doll had planned! She had a nautical dress that matched Barbie® doll’s Aboard Ship #1631. Her red/white/blue striped knit top met a navy pleated skirt. Her sleeveless navy vest was lined in red and had a middy collar with white trim and a white star applique on each side. There were three golden buttons on either side of the front. White short nylon socks, red flats, a black plastic camera with gray painted trim, a red plastic sailboat with white plastic sail and travel brochures for Mexico and Hawaii completed the set.

This wonderful Prima Dolly Saffy belongs to Chicsochic. She is modelling a Skipper outfit called Sunny Pastels from 1965.
Chicsochic is a fan of all vintage and feminine nostalgia especially of things from Paris and abroad. This Sunny Pastel ensemble epitomizes the look and feel of Chicsochic's photostream, both dolly and non-dolly pics. There is an atmosphere of softness, elegance, and unmistaken feminity when you wander through her photography. (You can almost smell the Chanel parfum.). It is appropriate that her Saffy dressed for spring is this month's featured model.

A pretty match-mate for Barbie® doll’s Fun ‘n Games #1619, Skipper® doll’s straight dress featured side pleats and a pink printed tree with sequin “fruit.” The rainbow fabric also covered her tote bag with the same tree and sequin decoration. Finishing touches were short white nylon socks and pink flats.

As the name says, this is a group about Blythe in Skipper fashion. The Skipper wardrobe can range from vintage to modern clothing and even reproductions. Dress patterns either based on or inspired by Skipper are also welcome here ^__^
Your Blythe should display articles of clothing from Skipper either complete or incomplete outfits and also include individual accessories - shoes, boots, bags, toys, hats, props, jewelry, belts, etc.
Notes, tags, titles, captions describing the article of Skipper fashion is encouraged and greatly appreciated not only by me, but by other members who would benefit in their own search for Skipper fashion.
I wanted to create this group because I'm a huge fan of Skipper fashion with Blythe channeling Barbie's famous little sister. This group will be valuable resource for Blythe lovers who are curious as to how vintage and new Skipper fashion would look and fit on a Blythe model.
Furthermore, please retain from posting fashion from Barbie, Steffie, PJ, Jazzie, Stacey, Christie, and Midge unless one of the articles of clothing include Skipper. Sorry, I wanted to create a group that focuses only on Skipper fashion.
However, fashions from vintage Francie is allowed.
