About "Blue Highways"William Least Heat Moon published, Blue Highways, in 1982 chronicling his travels on the back roads of America. The name comes of the tradition on old (free gas statiion) maps where main roads were red and back roads were blue. This pool is for photos that are taken on the backroads; in the small towns on backroads, from the backroads, scenery from the backroads. Anything associated with backroads. Your decisions about what constitutes "backroads" will probably not be challenged. However, interstates are not backroads regardless of how remote the location. Travel the backroads, see the incredible sights and towns on the backroads, and meet the people along the backroads. Then share them with us. Thank you for joining this journey. |
