About Black Slim Devil World Tour 2010
Dear friends on FLICKR,
2010 is only a few days old and the time has come for a little global but analog project. I hope to spark you interest and to persuade you to join in.
It concerns the following: I'd like to send a Black Slim Devil camera (loaded with an ILFORD XP2-400 film) around the world. The camera comes along with a notebook and a film safe bag (which is supposed to protect the camera from X-rays at airports).
Everyone of you should/could/gets to take exactly one picture. Regardless of a particular topic. A portrait of you with friends, you favorite record shop, or hot-dog stand. A picture in the forest, in the mountains, at the ocean. Wherever and whatever...it's up to you. The notebook is used as a logbook in order to create a history. I'd like to read notes and a caption on each photo in order to find out where and why the picture was taken.
As soon as you took a picture, please send the camera to one of your FLICKR contacts. If you are the one who takes the last picture with the camera please send it back to me. I'm going to develop the photos and digitalize them as well as create a special FLICKR account for them.
In order to express my gratitude for your effort, everyone of you is going to receive their personal picture by snail mail. What do you think? Is this project practicable? Is it fascinating?
It would be great if the camera is going to experience lots of interesting stuff on it's journey across the (FLICKR) world.
