About I've been blocked!
ONE LINE
Turning around the rudeness of indiscriminate blocking on Flickr.
EXPLANATION
Have you run into rude people on Flickr whose knee-jerk reaction when they discover you haven't yet listed them as friends after initially adding them as contacts is to send a rude e-mail and/or block you?
Are you tired of the rudeness some people have begun to display on Flickr by blocking you for doing what Flickr encourages (adding people as a contact so you can find their photos again) without even bothering to ask why you like their photos or added them as a contact?
Do you yearn for the old days when people on Flickr were much more friendly and polite?
Then this is the group for you.
WHAT TO DO
Add your photos. Just remember that the photos should be yours or you should have the rights to them and keep your uploads reasonable -- consider whether people need to see 8 shots of the same thing before you decide to upload. No Internet downloads, please.
And try to be more creative than uploading porn, photos of your latest conquest, etc. Show us real art! Casual snapshots of exhibitionism or other images deemed inappropriate to a public group will be deleted.
List the people who have blocked you without reason, but most importantly, bring back Flickr's friendly spirit.
If necessary, respond in kind by blocking them back. Blocking is a two-way street.
If you'd like to give them a chance to respond, you can do so by adding this text and code to your profile page:
If you are listed here and wish to contact me, post a message or send a note to me via this group:
