About Black & White - Photographers for a Cause

This group was created in order to facilitate correspondence between photographers and the book editor.

-Project Details:
The book is part of a fund raising project (by Team Addison) for the 2009 " Super Cities Walk for MS ". On April 26th 2009, my husband and I will be walking for the cause.

The book will be created, sold and distributed through Blurb.com.

I am working on this project during my own free time and I am not making any financial profits. This is solely for the cause.

Should you want more information about the money going to the MSSC, you can visit the 2006 - 2007 annual report from the MS Society of Canada. www.mssociety.ca/en/pdf/annual_report_2006_2007_en.pdf

-Book Price breakdown:
*7x7 Book - 15.95 is going towards the manufacturing of each book (to Blurb) and ALL profits (10.00/book sold) will be given to the MSSC.

-Background: Although I have helped in previous MS event as a volunteer, this is my first fund raising campaign. This will be my first time as a 'Walker' as well.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005. In 2006, I was bedridden for months before having to get around with a wheelchair. No one was able to tell if I was going to walk again. With the help of physio and occupational therapists (and months of daily efforts) I regained my ability to walk.

Before being discharged from the hospital and before knowing if I would ever walk again, I made a promise. If I was to walk again, I would take part in the Super Cities Walk for MS. And here I am!

Here you can find my MSWalk profile for this year’s campaign (including my motivations and personal story).

-Purchasing:
Books will be available for purchase on the Blurb.com website. All participating photographers will be advised once the book is up for sale.

-Donating and Pledging:
Should you want to contribute to the cause in other ways, you are welcome to do so by pledging me, purchasing the MS Band of Hope, purchasing a copy of the book or by spreading the word! (Once the book is up for sale, I hope to be able to provide everyone with a Blurb badge.) I will also give you a link to the book should you be interested in promoting it. After all, you will be featured in it!
