About Black Canyon Camera Club
The Black Canyon Camera Club currently meets on the Western Slope of Colorado. We started in early 2009 as a loose association of photographers who belonged to Delta Fine Arts. The fine arts organization includes artists of all types, and we photographers wanted to do more of our own thing. Members come from Ridgeway, Hotchkiss, Delta and Cedaredge—(and anywhere else someone lives who wants to join).
Our membership includes some professional photographers and some hobby photographers, novice through advanced levels. We organize field trips, where members get together to take photos at places of interest, and sometimes members bring in their pictures for critique. Many of us enter pictures in shows (it really isn’t so scary). Learning is probably one of our main values, and we set up photography workshops at Stolte Shed in Cedaredge 4-6 times a year.
