About Bittersweet

Welcome!

This group is for photos that evoke longing, or sadness, or melancholy. But with a wistful sweetness mixed in. So we don't mean blood and gore, or anger, or pictures of miserable people (necessarily). Just pictures of sad, proud beauty. Pictures that convey a bittersweet feeling. The pictures don't need to be *of* anything. Just sweet and sad and maybe a little lonely.

Use your imagination. We're very flexible about how to interpret this, although obvious picture spamming having nothing whatsoever to do with the theme may well be removed.

You can invite the bittersweet photos you find on flickr with the following code:

IF YOUR PICTURE GOT INVITED: There are no rules about commenting on x-number of other pictures in the pool, etc. We wouldn't have time to enforce something like that. But it's a nice thing to do. Posting your image here guarantees at least one additional view (the Admin's/mine) and probably several more. So if your picture was invited, go ahead and join, add the picture, and then stay or leave... it's up to you. We'll be glad if you choose to stick around though.
