Changes of bird's name:
1. White-bellied Yuhina to White-bellied Epornis Erpornis zantholeuca (Belongs to the New World Vireos now instead of Babbler)
2. Black-headed Munia changed to Tricolored Munia Lonchura malacca
3. Philippine Megapode Megapodius cumingii is the official name for Tabon Scrubfowl.
4. Eurasian Teal Anas crecca is the official name for Green-winged Teal in our guidebook and the Green-winged Teal itself is a different species now Anas carolinensis
5. Pygmy Ibon Oculocincta squamifrons is a new name for Pygmy White Eye which is not belonged to White Eye family anymore.
6. Pallas's Warbler Locustella certhiola now changed into Rusty-rumped Warbler Locustella certhiola
7. White Wagtail Motacilla alba is the official name for Pied Wagtail
Official new splits and changes of taxonomy from IOC World Bird List:
1. Bornean Swiftlet Collocalia dodgei (Endemic)split from Cave Swiftlet Collocalia linchi
2. Bornean Frogmouth Batrachostomus mixtus (Endemic) split from Short-tailed Frogmouth which is found only in Sumatera now.
3. Bornean Bulbul Pycnonotus montis (Endemic) split from Black-crested Bulbul and eventually name changed to Black-capped Bulbul Pycnonotus melanicterus and range at Sri Langa.
4. Cinereous Bulbul Hemixos cinereus (Endemic) split from Ashy Bulbul Hemixos flavala range from Indian sub-continent, Burma, South West China, West and North East Thailand and Indochina.
5. Black-collared Starling and Pied Myna changed genus Sturnus to Gracupica
6. Purple-backed Starling now Daurian Starling Agropsar sturninus and Chestnut-cheeked Starling Agropsar philippensis changed genus from Sturnus to Agropsar
7. White-shouldered Starling Sturnia sinensis changed genus from Sturnus to Sturnia.
8. White-crowned Shama Copsychus stricklandii is now officially endemic for Borneo after split from White-rumped Shama Copsychus malabaricus
9. Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher Rhinomyias brunneatus and not brunneata as written in the guide book.
10. Bornean Leafbird Chloropsis kinabaluensis (Endemic) split from Blue-winged Leafbird Chloropsis cochinchinensis and both species is found in Borneo.
11. Bold-striped Tit-Babbler Macronous bornensis is split from Striped Tit-Babbler M. gularis
12. Bare-headed Laughingthrush Garrulax calvus is split from Black laughingthrush G.lugubris
13. Chestnut-hooded laughingthrush Garrulax treacheri (Endemic) is a split from Chestnut-capped laughingthrush G. mitratus
14. Eastern Cattle Egret Bubulcus coromandus is a new split from Western Cattle Egret Bubulcus ibis. For Borneo, it is the Eastern Cattle Egret.
16. Brown-streaked Flycatcher Muscicapa williamsoni split from Asian Brown Flycatcher Muscicapa dauurica and both species is found in Borneo.
17. Paddyfield Pipit Anthus rufulus is the new name for Common Pipit and has new specific name; rufulus
