About Birds for Beer
In conjunction with the Bird For Beer blog (http://www.birdsforbeer.wordpress.com), this group will house photos of all birds spotted and discussed by Paul Pickering. Excerpt from the blog:
‘Birds for Beer’ is a blog dedicated to my observations of life as an experienced but amateur birdwatcher living near Turrialba, Costa Rica. In addition to regular postings of my sightings and updates regarding any information about birding in Costa Rica, I can also offer guided help in getting to the many spots that I have discovered in my travels throughout this fantastic country. As you can see from my posts, I am by no means an ornithological expert, and my intention is certainly not to compete with professionally guided birding tours, of which there are many excellent ones available. However, if you´re coming to Costa Rica and doing some birdwatching, you can use our beautiful house and garden at the foot of the Turrialba Volcano as a base without spending a fortune. I speak fluent Spanish, German and French, and I know the country well. If you just want help for a day trip, you can just buy me a couple of beers! My wife and I will be happy to see you.
