About Birds of all sorts - Calendar competition.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!

As the beginning of a new year now starts, it is the best time to launch Birds of All Sorts Calendar Competition.

I have noticed that there is an option within flickr to create a calendar using specially selected images.

We will hold a monthly competition, for the best image image, ready to use for that month's calendar picture.

As we are located from all over the world, we have different seasons at different times of the year. This will create an opportunity for some varied & typical photos for that month. The photos are to capture the essence of the month relevant to your country!

Some informtaion about where the photo was taken and the type of bird - whether captive or wild and it's name would be good to see.

The winning photo will be voted for by all members of this group at the end of each month. This winner will have their photo displayed within a calendar (for the next year i.e. 2009) as well as on the main page of this group (joined by 2 runners up) for all to see!

Each month, the winning photo, credited, will be displayed in the calendar format, for people to download and use. There will also be a winning "tag" appearing under your photo, specailly prepared for you all by the admin team, as a sign to all who see that photo that it is that extra bit special!!

Each member can only post 1 entry into this competition each month. When voting opens (new thread), this entry thread will be closed and each member can have up to 3 votes (no voting for own entry - sorry!!!) Details about this will be given out nearer the time.

Congratulations go to EdZee with entry number 7 - baby (Mute) Swan in January's competion.
