About Bird's Eye Ireland: Irish Hills and Mountains

This group is for those who have a love for Ireland's high places, whether you enjoy climbing them or simply admiring them from the comfort of level ground.

Photos of hills and mountains anywhere in Ireland are welcome, such as the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains, Mourne Mountains, MacGillycuddy's Reeks, Galty Mountains, Knockmealdown Mountains, Darty Mountains, Bluestack Mountains and Twelve Bens. Summits of a modest stature are fine, within reason (i.e. the 40 metre hill behind your house isn't really what we're after here, sorry!). Hills/mountains of a historic or religious interest, such as the Hill of Tara, Croagh Patrick or Slemish Mountain, are also welcome. Photos of the views from these high places are especially welcome.

PLEASE let us know the name of any hill/mountain or range you post to the group, and feel free to identify any landmarks visible from their slopes. You might also want to geotag your images so other members can see where they were taken. Any interesting information relating to the subject matter is appreciated, such as local legends and sites of interest nearby. Members can post a maximum of FOUR images to the group per day.
