About Biochar 10-10-10

The International Biochar Initiative is joining with the climate action group 350.org to promote a day of climate events on October 10, 2010. Bill McKibben’s 350.org is calling for 10/10/10 to be the date for a "Global Work Party" on climate. According to the 350.org campaign, “this one day will be a MASSIVE opportunity to celebrate climate solutions at the local level--and put the pressure on our leaders while doing so.”

IBI is reaching out to our 3,500 network members and 30 regional groups in many countries around the world to ask them to organize biochar events on 10/10/10 and register them with the 350.org site as part of the Global Work Party. IBI hopes that event organizers and others will post photos of their events and projects on this group site.
