About Justice for Justine

In 2007 soldiers forced their way into Justine Masika Bihamba’s home while she was out. They tied up her six children at gunpoint before sexually assaulting them and attempting to rape one of her daughters.

They were attacked because of Justine's work as co-ordinator of a women’s human rights organisation that supports victims of sexual violence in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Take a photo to demand justice for Justine

Justine’s family have identified the soldiers, but they have still not been arrested or brought to trial. We need your help in demanding ‘Justice for Justine’.

We’d like you to upload a photo of yourself holding the message ‘Justice for Justine’ which we will turn into a photo album to present to the DRC authorities.

Whether you take your photo next to an interesting landmark near where you live, at home, or somewhere else, we’d like you to be as creative as possible.

Alternatively you can take a picture with your mobile phone and:
- Text it to 07733 134 670
- Or email it to amnesty.amnesty@gmail.com and we'll upload it for you.
