About Big Swinger 3000
Pictures taken with a Polaroid Big Swinger 3000 camera.
The Big Swinger 3000 (1968-1970) is a rigid body (non-folding) packfilm camera that only takes Type 100 film with a speed of 3000 ASA (Fuji FP-3000B or, if you can still find it, Polaroid Type 667). It was one of the first truly inexpensive instant cameras with a retail price of $24.95. Nowadays you can usually find a few on eBay and they tend to be dirt cheap, meaning less than $5. The Fuji FP-3000B film is B&W film and it is still readily available at B&H, Adorama, Freestyle, etc. It typically costs around $10 per pack. It is excellent film and it has a rapid development time of about 15 seconds.
Make sure to also watch the original Swinger commercial! The Swinger (1965-1970) was a predecessor of the Big Swinger 3000 taking Type 20 rollfilms, a very short-lived type of Polaroid film.
