About Biar Spain

Biar is a Valencian town located in the comarca of Alt Vinalopó, in the province of Alicante, Spain. It has an area of 98.2 km² and, according to the 2003 census, a total population of 3,550 inhabitants, with a population density of 36.15 inhab/km². Biar lies at the foot of the Sierra de Mariola and is located 39 km from the city of Alicante.

La villa de Biar está situada en el interior de la provincia de Alicante, a 650 metros sobre el nivel del mar, dista tan sólo 45 kilómetros de Alicante.

Por la carretera, para llegar a Biar desde Alicante se debe seguir la N-330, o bien la A-7. Desde Valencia la N-430 y a la altura de la Font de la Figuera coger el desvio que enlaza con la N-330. Desde Murcia se coge la N-330 a la altura de Aspe y Crevillente.
