About Bhagavad-Gita As It Is Photo Pool
This group is for posting photos that illustrate verses from the Bhagavada-Gita. The idea is to present the Bhagavad-Gita from as many angles of vision as possible--literally--so use your creativity. The verses cited must come from the translation by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Bhagavad-Gita As It Is
All verses from the Krishna.com website posted on this photo group are copyright by the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust and used with permission.
This group is open to all, regardless of belief, but all photos must be respectful of and in tune with Vaishnava philosophy.
Before posting, please review and follow the guidelines below. All inappropriate photos will be removed by the administrator. New guidelines will be added as the need arises.
This group is about seeing Krishna everwhere, in everything. So the first guideline is: open your eyes. See things in a fresh way, without preconceptions, through the eyes of sastra, and Krishna will reveal Himself..
Surprise us.
Surprise yourself.
The Do's:
Use your own photos, or you must have permission to use others' from the owner.
The title of your photo must be the number of the chapter and verse you are illustrating. See the first photo posted, www.flickr.com/photos/tulasi-priya/145866492/in/pool-bhag... and just cut and paste it to your description.
You must include the URL from krishna.com's Bhagavad-gita page in the description. www.krishna.com/main.php?id=291
The Dont's
No photos or artwork that you don't own the copyright for.
No formal guru photos. No Vyasa-puja photos of gurus. If you want to post a photo of your guru, other people must be in the photo.
No Deity photos, unless a jiva (human being) is included in the composition.
No nudity, except for children under the age of five. No frontal nudity EVER, children included. Tasteful shots of mothers breastfeeding their children are okay.
Be respectful of everyone, devotee or not. Respectful doesn't mean they have to be shown at their best, but their human dignity should be preserved.
No sunsets.
