About Better treatment for Asylum Seekers!

I live in Australia (I am Australian) and I find it appaling how Asyum Seekers are treated here, they are human yet they are just being traded like worthless trading cards, now our Government has struck a deal with Malaysia to send 800 new refugees there and we will take 4000 genuine refugees, the detention centres in Malaysia are worse again the people are beaten and have to sleep on the ground and are given insufficient amounts of food and water. It is not a crime to want to feel safe and to want a better life, there have been riots at the Christmas Island centre and the Villawood centre in Sydney, NSW. These people are being seen as criminals and have been told that they will be sent back to there country, it is understandable though to act in this manner because how would you like to give up all your money and all your posessions to get crammed onto a leaky boat, and risk death to reach a country where you thought you would be free but instead you are locked in a cage, with no hope of getting out soon.

If you have once seeked refuge in another country and are fine to talk about it, I would love to hear your experiences and hope more people in Australia and the world can change their views on Asylum Seekers.
