The primary objective of BPATW is to encourage everyone share their photos with the world.
The second is to give your "works of photographic art" a chance to be enjoyed around the world and maybe awarded the "Best Photograph" for the Week, Month or Year!
Any Photographer; amateur and professional alike, would be ecstatic to have their photographs recognised by their peers as the Best of the best, or even becoming a Weekly, Monthly and Annual winner.
The Gold winner for the month will be the group icon/logo for the comment code for the next month (if the owner of the photo will permit us to use his/her photo). If not, the Silver winner will get the priviledge of becoming the group icon/logo for the comment code and the same will happen to the Bronze winner if the Silver winner won't permit us to use his/her photo.
BPATW was created from curiosity. I had an idea but did not, when I started, have any idea or experience running a group, however I am still learning rapidly.
On the first day, I invited my friends to join the group and post their photographs. A week later the group had more than doubled in size and I thought "WOW! Is this really happening?" There really are people interested in sharing their photographs.
One member suggested it would be better to have comments and invitation codes. So I did and promoted him to moderator, asking him to help me manage the group.
Next we thought of having Weekly and Monthly competitions to encourage the members to share more of their best photographs.
After a month of trial and error, the group reached 500 members and continues to increase.
I would like to congratulate and thank every member for their participation and contributions and especially the Moderators for their support and hard work behind the scenes. I know your continuing support is enjoyed by every member of the group.
Anyone with ideas, comments or suggestions on improving our group, please feel free to post them on the discussion board or just simply drop me a message and rest assure all suggestions will be much appreciated!
