About BEST OF ASIA! 亚洲精萃
‘BEST OF ASIA' is meant to showcase and promote the most talented and perceptive photographers and photojournalist living in Asia. In the past images of Asia were photographed by shooters send from New York, London or Paris on assignments. These foreign photographers may have a great eye and be superb at their trade, but they do not speak our language, live in our cultures, and certainly cannot phantom the depth of our hearts and minds. The results is often stereotypical images and predictable stories.
As home grown Asians or foreigners who have lived and built a life in Asia, we know the full depth of our community, the nuances of our society, and the full flavors of the cultures where we live.
'Best of Asia' is the place for 'local eyes', showcasing images of our homes, our community and our hearts. Our result are images that represents a truer Asia.

我们的这个站目的是为了展示和推广亚洲人或长期生活在亚洲有特色的摄影家。
以前世界所认识的亚洲相片大部分是西方媒体从纽约或巴黎派出短期的外国摄影家。
这些摄影家或许有名也有很独特的眼光，但是他们不住在亚洲，他们不懂我们的语言，也没有在我们的文化下生存过。他们用一种游客的眼光去摄影亚洲的文化。
这个站（Best of Asia)是为在亚洲生存的摄影家， 他们对亚洲有深刻的认识，和当地人住一起彼此是朋友邻居，他们可以理解亚洲人的情感和行为，并用一种本地人的眼光去拍摄，立足于亚洲向西方世界去展现一个真实的亚洲。
