About Belle Isle Camera Club

BICC_logo by steveburt1947

The Belle Isle Camera Club is a positive and growing group of photography enthusiasts of various skill levels, who are united in their affection for Belle Isle, the "Jewel of Detroit," in their love of photography, and in their desire to improve their photography skills and techniques.

The Belle Isle Camera Club normally meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month in the auditorium or the conference room of the Belle Isle Nature Zoo. We are located at the eastern end of Belle Isle across from the Driving Range.

This flickr group serves as the message board and photography posting site for the Belle Isle Camera Club. At this time it is requested that members limit themselves to 500 pictures each in the group pool to keep it manageable in total size.

New members are always welcome. It is our expectation that those who join this flickr group will introduce themselves to the administrators and provide them an e-mail address. Next we would urge that you come to a forthcoming meeting, complete a brief, written membership application, and actually join the Belle Isle Camera Club.

We expressly reserve the right to remove from membership of this flickr group (1) those who would post obscene materials in the group pool, (2) persons who join this flickr group but are just never seen again after a reasonable interval, and (3) actual Internet Trolls (professional trouble-maker types who join groups like this just for for the chance to act malicious).
