About An Inordinate Fondness for Beetles

An English cleric once asked the noted evolutionist J.B.S. Haldane what could be inferred about the Creator from the works of nature. Haldane is reported to have replied, "An inordinate fondness for beetles."

With more than 350,000 known species, the beetles are the most diverse order of animals on the planet. This group is for photos that celebrate the fabulous diversity of beetles in all their weird and wonderful forms.

"An inordinate fondness for beetles" is also the name of book by Arthur V. Evans, Charles L. Bellamy and Lisa Charles Watson.

Please note: Any pictures of Volkswagen Beetles will be removed!
