About Become A Pilot Family Day at the National Air and Space MuseumThe Become A Pilot Family Day and Aviation Display is a free annual event held at the Smithsonian Institution, National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA near Washington Dulles International Airport. Over 17,500 people attended the 2008 event that featured over 50 vintage, recreational, military, and home-built aircraft in an outdoor display and a variety of family activities. Visitors explored aircraft large and small, talked with pilots, tried out flight simulators, and listened to first-hand accounts of flight from U.S. Air Force “Living Legends.” If you were there and have photos from the event, please add them to this group! |
