21 May 09 - ***NOTE*** Painted metal surfaces are only appropriate if there is ample exposed metal in the shot, as well!Raw metal, straight from the ground to the soaring titanium clad buildings designed by Frank Gehry...all of the photos of stunningly beautiful metals will find a home here. I wish to build a pool of the highest quality shots that make you feel something when you look at them. Who says metal has to be an inanimate object? It manages to animate me plenty.

About Beautiful Metal

About Beautiful Metal:
This pool is for the glorious metals! Silver, gold, pewter, chrome, bronze, iron, pyrite, lead, copper, tin, aluminum, steel, platinum, etc; even the occasional rusty metal shot.
The rust shots should have some lovely color, composition or character to them, (as well as actually retain some of it's original metal appearance, please :-) or they risk being deleted.
Also, no metal photos that are so heavily manipulated that they bear little to no resemblance to what was originally in front of the camera! Purple Pink WAY OUT THERE PHOTOSHOPPED COLORS will be deleted.
My main aim is a high quality pool that showcases the aesthetic properties of the metal itself, yet not just any old photo of a passing car or a tin can. It doesn't have to be abstract, it doesn't even have to be a shot the average person would find particularly interesting, so long as the story is the beauty of the metal itself. (It should look actually look like metal, as well :-)
Show us your very best!
Beauty is the first priority ......Then metal.
There can be other elements to the photo, but metal must be the main focus.
I am after the shots that allow the viewer to see what it was about the metal that captured your attention and made you reach for your camera.
