Welcome to Beautiful World.......This is a friendly game where 16 challenges are posted. The Challenges will all reflect aspects of the beautiful world around us and unless otherwise stated, should be of nature Subjects.. The game works by 10 people posting a photo in the thread and then all members voting. Remember, you must vote for the photo that best fits the challenge topic and the group rules. You should be voting for the photograph and not for the photographer. Personal likes and dislikes of other members in the group should not influence your vote nor should you be influenced by the votes of others. The first to get five votes wins and starts a new challenge. Members can only post one Photo/challenge and have one vote /challenge You may not vote for your own photo. Please read the rules before playing.
ONLY POST PHOTOS THAT HAVE WON A CHALLENGE TO THE POOL
Photos will be held in a queue and will only be admitted if they have won a challenge.

New Rules

1. Only photos you have taken. No nudity or offensive photos.
2. Photo shopping is not allowed other than, minor adjustments - cropping, sharpening,changing to black & whiteand other similar minor adjustments Simple Framing of photographs is also allowed.
3. No photos of children or adults (A distant figure is Ok if they are not recognisable)
4. No animations or video clips.
5. Please pick the photos that you enter in challenges with care that they fit both the topic and the group rules. Admin will delete photos that they feel do not conform. Please check out list of unsuitable subjects for photographs here
Admin Usually take the time to email players that have had a photo removed explaining why, but if you persistently push the guidelines we will not do so.
6. Once you have entered a photo in a challenge please do not adjust it or replace it with another.
7. No ONE photo may be entered in more than ONE open or voting challenge at the same time and once a photo wins a challenge you may not enter that photo in new challenges.
8.Players may enter as many challenges as they wish if space is available. (Only 10 entries allowed in each challenge) If you put the 10th photo in please start the voting.
9. You Must Vote in ALL challenges that are voting when you enter your photos including those you have entered but you MAY NOT vote for your own photo. If you fail to Vote in All challenges within 30 mins your entries will be removed. I We will no longer send emails .

10 If you win a challenge you must open a new one before entering OPEN Challenges. If you are stuck for ideas a list of suitable topics can be found here
If you are not around a member of admin will open your challenge when the 18 hours is up.
Each Challenge must have between 6-10 Entries so when you open your challenge, please try and ensure your chosen topic will attract entries. If a challenge doesn't have sufficient entries (at least 5) after 18 hours it will be deleted and a new topic started by admin
We do not allow technical topics ie shallow dof, bokeh, rule of thirds, long exposure etc but photos exhibiting these techniques will be allowed in the challenges as long as they otherwise conform to the rules. Nor do we allow topics such as first post chooses, Latest upload, from a page in your photostream, been in explore,most intersting/favs/views.

11..We do allow a few non nature challenges, ie Historical Buildings or Ruins, Churches, and........ but these subjects should be confined to those challenges.
12.. Reflections is a popular challenge and is open to interpretation .
We expect entries in these challenges to either be scenic or a nature subject. So if you have a reflection of a boat or building that is fine as long as there is a scenic background.
13.. Do not post photos to the pool unless they have won a challenge.
14. Anyone who sends Rude emails to admin will be removed from the group.
15. If a member of admin is dealing with a problem Please deal with that Person and do not involve another member of Admin.

Topics which allude to pages on photostreams/explore/interestingness etc

people
plastic buckets
wheelbarrows
cars
Items of clothing
most man made objects
junk/rubbish
aeroplanes
HDR, Orton effect, selective colour and other excessive photoshopping, collages
dead animals


Members please note that just because a topic or subject is not on this list does not mean that it will be acceptable. Members are asked to use their common sense and not open challenges or enter photographs which are against the spirit of the group.

HOW TO ENTER A CHALLENGE

OPENING NEW THREADS

To open a new Challenge simply copy and paste the the information from the challenge you have just won and put the # of the challenge OPEN and your chosen topic in the heading. Post this and then put your entry in a new post underneath

If you win a challenge this award will be posted on your photo and your 24hours starts from then

CONGRATS you are the winner of challenge #?? ---????? ...please tag your photo "beautifulworldchallenges" and post it to the group pool. You now have 18 hours to open a new challenge with the same # as the one you have won ....which is #??
