These are really cute names! The black kitten I will be getting has long hair on his legs that stick straight out and are highlighted white. Almost like he's wearing high furry socks.. and not thick either. He's a character. I'm trying to find a name for him and it's really hard!

My kitty is Pirate. I didn't get to name him though. We got him from PetSmart when he was a year old - not sure what I would have named him given the chance. I do sometimes call him Merlin... he can magically appear/disappear at will!

We've had O (short for Opium, and we didn't name him!), Slick, Spike and now Jack and Gus. Jack and Gus came from the shelter and their names were changed from Blackie and Gastone. Who ever heard of a big black cat named Gastone? No wonder he's a little nutty.

Lol. Yeah, I don't know where Gastone comes from. I definitely wouldn't name anything of mine that. Right now I'm thinking either Beasly or Bosley. Not sure why. Those just seem to stick right now.

My black cat is called Guinness. We didn't choose the name, but we kept it because it's so appropriate. When the sun hits her fur it does have a slightly brown undertone, exactly the colour of Guinness beer.

Ours are Mick and Monte. Mick for Jagger and Monte cause my husband and sons liked the name. The cats are brothers, look alot alike, but have different personalities. Both however are PRIMO cats.

I had a cat named Lucky...Since my brother kept going on about black cats being bad luck......I had to put a twist on it lol....My cat now is Clover.My son wanted to name her Lucky Jr. I told him no but he could pick a name that ment Luck.....So Clover it was because he said four leaf clovers bring you luck. Sometimes I wait a few days and see it's personallity then name them....Good Luck!

Ours is Onyx. He was named that when we got him. We think they named him that because it's a Pokemon character name, and they wanted a kid to want him because of that. Oddly enough, our other cat (non-black) is Dexter, so we have 2 cats wiht x's in their name.

My late black cat was Ruby Franklin Moon. He came with the name from his previous owner and answered to "rubyrubyrubymooon". Currently, I live with Rowf--named the moment he stepped from the shelter crate into our living room. He's the first cat since Ruby that my partner likes and refers to by given name. I frequently call him Mr. Magoo...just because.
The tuxedo (black&white) girl is Saratoga--shelter name that stuck. My other half calls her "F***in' Evil Cat". She used to pee on our feet.

My little girl is named MEEK. She is a full blooded Manx. Although her name is Meek...she isn't as meek as she was when she was a tiny baby. She is my everything and I truly love her name.
My last black cat I had...her name was Sweetness, but as she grew older she wasn't all the sweet any longer. I loved her still the same. May she rest in peace.

Our black cat is named 'Moon'. My husband named him Moon because he has a white spot on his throat, and he thought the spot looked like the moon in the night sky...I wasn't too fond of the name at first, but it grew on me ! The name fits him, not just because of his white spot, but because he has this mysterious 'other worldly' air about him...

My kitties are names: Lucky & Seven. Lucky is the boy and Seven is the girl. So together they are Lucky Seven cause they were born on 07/07/07! Seven was always gonna be Seven but we named the other cat Michi but Michi turned out to be a Boy so we had to find a boy name.. so Lucky he became..
