About Bay Bridge
Pictures of San Francisco & Oakland's Bay Bridge.
The Bay Bridge, completed in 1939, links San Francisco to Oakland and the East Bay, and is the most essential roadway in the Bay Area's busy commute. This westernmost end of Interstate 80 consists of a canteliver bridge and two suspension bridges end-to-end, connected via the Yerba Buena Tunnel. There are two exits on the Bay Bridge- Treasure Island- a manmade island created for the 1939 World's Fair, and the natural Yerba Buena Island- which the bridge burrows through.
This was a repository for pictures of Treasure Island & Yerba Buena island, but now that there exists this Treasure Island group, let's limit this one to the Bridge itself.
