About Barriers to Cycling in Edinburgh

This group, a spin-off from www.flickr.com/groups/cyclingedinburgh/pool, is to record/highlight things in Edinburgh which (might) discourage/impede cycling.

It has been started as a result of the recent (physical) barriers in St. Leonard's at the Innocent Tunnel (removed after a week) cyclingedinburgh.info/2009/09/19/another-barrier-to-cycling and Portobello cyclingedinburgh.info/2009/09/17/what-do-you-think-of-edi... (still there).

This group will be a useful tool to show the Council what the problems (as perceived by cyclists) are.

Most photos will be of facilities that need to be removed, or better maintained (e.g. Marchmont Road red surfaced cycle lanes), but there is scope for showing 'missing' things - or anything that might encourage more people to cycle more often.

It will be especially useful if you add the location to the flickr/yahoo map.
