About i read banned blogs

This is a design competition to come up with the logo and design styles (typography, colors, graphics, etc) for The Committee to Protect Bloggers (http://committeetoprotectboggers.org) new campaign slogan, "I read banned blogs."

We'll use the winning design in linking buttons to help promote the protection of blogger rights as well as for people to read and link to endangered blogs. Join this group and add your submission.

We'll run a poll to let people vote on their favorite. The winning design will then be used for fund raising, link graphics, etc, and be licensed by a Creative Commons deed that allows free use with attribution.

The theme "I Read Banned Blogs" is based around those old pins and stickers you'd see around independent bookshops or on your more progressive PTA parent's car bumper.

Likely there are blogs that you read which are banned in some part of the world. Or perhaps you use some sort of proxy server device to access online content someone doesn't want you to see. This campaign isn't just about celebrating controversial blogs, but to promote and celebrate the reading of them as well. We hop people will use these graphics not just to link to us, but to their favorite banned blog as well.
