Most of us around here are quite familiar with the things Banksy did with an African theme...
...but how many of us knew he was physically in Africa doing graffiti? Not many - until we saw what he did there in the drawings and photos now on display in the recreated studio part of his exhibition Banksy Versus Bristol Museum.
I've seen this one in the flesh. Its in the suburbs of Bamako in Mali, West Africa. Banksy was there about 4-5 months ago. Sadly this has been partially painted over, Peaches Geldoff is no more and somebody has added a flower to the collection tin. There's also a few local tags scribbled on the same wall.
There are a handful in Mali, stretching from Bamako to Timbuktu. Their locations are still unpublicised as far as I can tell.
id love to see these in better quality too!! i'm surprised these didn't make it onto bbc news!!! or even news papers didn't get hold of these

he has just done a new african themed piece on old street (the original home of the pupl fiction series), two african kids holding empty banana skins!!

i like these!! i dont see the witty side to some of them so unless im missing it he just did some straight out class african themed stencils :-) from above, 2nd 3rd and 5th ones
