I thought it would be cool to see each photographer's favorite band pictures. So post your favorite band picture that you've taken, then post your favorite band picture from another photographer (if you can narrow it down that far). I'll Start. Post more than one if you want.

Here is my favorite band shot of mine. I just took it yesterday. With every shoot, I keep learning. I'm starting to like the way my shots are coming out a lot.

And although I have a bunch of favorite band shots, this one I really do love. It's by Petey. He nailed it. The wind is awesome.

architects

pretty happy with this one of Architects. had to shoot in fast falling light on Provia 100F at F2.8 hand held at about 1/8th or 1/4 second exposure! happy there is minimal ghosting and everything is in focus. The scan is a touch underexposed though, the actual negative is a little brighter.

Mike from Pierce the Veil. Canon 5D, 35L, AB800 boomed over subject.

Favorite promo -
Anything by Autumn De Wilde or Dean Karr. Film is where it's at. Not a big digital fan.

This is from last night, and I feel it's one of my best promotional photos. it's Jake from a local band called Skies Fade Grey. They're recording their EP and it's sounding pretty good so far. I feel like I've gotten a lot better since my last set of band promos, which were also Skies Fade Grey, haha. They dropped their bassist so they wanted to re-shoot.

Here's another edit, not sure which I like more

I can't really think of my absolute favourite band promo. I really liked the AP cover of A Day To Remember by Gage Young

Here's one from me from my first ever band shoot. Did it for free and it's already opened doors -- got two more bands because of it. Love the architecture of the church we shot it at. Shot on a Canon 5D Mkii with OFC through Westcott 28" softbox. More from this shoot on my blog: www.alanlougher.com/blog

My fav is of blood red shoes and is at www.flickr.com/photos/darkdaze/271605938/ (I can't link the image into the page). This photo actually inspired me to look up the band and listen to their stuff - which I ended up loving.

This band is called "ASTRO", they are a south american based indie rock band, and they were my first clients as a photographer. i have taken a lot of pictures for them, including several gigs and one tour.

www.myspace.com/astrosonidoespacial

I really like this picture because it was the first promo shoot i did for them, and they liked it a lot.

they were a duo at that time, then they became four in the band, that's why this band does not use this picture nowadays.

i took this one with a really bad indoor light, but it resulted in a nice composition kind of scene.
