About Baltimore Monthly Scavenger Hunt

Concept shamelessly, yet lovingly, copied from the various Scavenger Hunt Groups around here.

The concept is simple. On the first of each month there will be a list of 15 items that you need to catch in a photograph. Unfortunately, there are some rules. (See below for the rules.)

There is a slight change to the rules starting October 2008. Winners of the scavenger hunt will come up with a list for the month after next. If you win the scavenger hunt for January than you will come up with the list for March. This will allow us to have a list available at the first of the month and avoid delays when posting new lists.

THE RULES

Rule #1 - This is all for fun! The only prize you get for winning is recognition. It would be great if you could also come up with the list for the month after next. (If you win in the January scavenger hunt than come up with a list for March.) You can also choose the group icon for the next month from the entries of the month you won. (If you win the January scavenger hunt than come up with an icon for February.)

Rule #2 - The photos should be your own and should be taken in the Baltimore area. Geotag photos with Flickr if possible.

Rule #3 - Take new photos for the Scavenger Hunt. For example, pictures for Novembers Scavenger Hunt should be taken in November. Try to get some good photos so our photo pool is fun to look at!

Rule #4 - All photos entered into the scavenger hunt must be entered into the group pool and have the proper tag. They should have the tag for the month-year-item #. For example, nov07bmsh1, nov07bmsh2. (See the monthly list above.)

Rule #5 - You can replace your photo entries but please add the proper tag to the new photos and remove the tag from the old ones.

Rule #6 - The Baltimore Monthly Scavenger Hunt runs from 12:00 AM on the first day of the month and ends at 11:59 PM on the last day of the month.

Rule #7 - This group is open to all so no nudity/porn please.

Rule #8 - Who wins? The first person to post and properly tag all the items to the group.
