08 Aug 09 - I'm really impressed by the high quality of submissions I'm seeing in this new group. This is a classic "staple" shot for wedding photographers, but the variety of images here show that creativity and brilliance behind the camera can always add a little something new to this standard shot.

About Backlit Brides in their Dresses

Just as the name (and the sample image above) suggests, we want to see all your brides while showing off their dresses in their full glory as they are walking away from the camera, or are standing in front of a window. Try not to stray TOO far from that look, okay? But in front of a mirror, on the beach or posed for a "glory of the dress" shot where the light is mostly coming towards the camera while the bride is mostly looking away from the camera are all good subject matter.

For the time being, I will be the final arbiter of which photos meet the criteria, but please take a look at this gallery to get an idea of what we are looking for in this group.

REAL female brides or bridal models ONLY please. And keep in mind, this is a SAFE group. Your photo stream, favorites and/or user icon can not have raw nudity in it. SOME "tasteful" nudity will be tolerated if discovered in your photo stream or favorites, but they can NOT have raw graphic nudity.
